I've been running a 12" Tone Tubby H1E alnico for a while.
Just got a new Celestion Lynchback and thought it sounded great right out of the box. Kind of a cross between a Greenback and V30. Less bass than the Creamback.

Old thread but always willing to talk Z28.
In the (many) years of playing this amp it has been through everything it seems. Lately I have really been diggin it though a greenback 1x12. Sounds sweet with a gold as well, but I am liking the the less efficient speaker these days.

Greenback is a solid choice...one of my favorites as well.

Any of the speakers you mentioned would sound great. I mainly trough a 2x12 GB style cabinet, but I have been really liking my new 1x12 Red Fang cabinet with the Z-28. I have used it with a 2x10 Red Fang cab, a 1x12 V30 style cab and a 1x15 with an Eminence Legend. All sounded great. Try them all and as they say trust your ears.
