Got the chance to rehearse the Remedy with my LP Special tonight for the first time - boy what a difference from playing my Strat through the Remedy! I really had to ride the Guitar Volume to clean it up, even on Vs at 9-10 o'clock. Boy those Lollar P90s, BITE! LOVED IT!

Yup! My remedy is very sensitive to pickup type/output and how much clean I can get. I do prefer it with P90's best, though.

^^^ HAve to say I didn't realise how sensitive it was to pup choice - I'd only really played my Strat and Tele through it, in earnest (messing around at home at ultra low volume doesn't count), but the spakling, rich vibrant cleans I get from my Strat is the best the Strat has ever sounded and Squier CV Tele has CS Hot Texas pups fitted, so they give a glorious growl when pushed, but nothing had prepared me for the BITE of the P90s! I love riding the GV when I can, and that method works a treat on this guitar/amp combination - and the mid position on the LP Special is just glorious. It got most compliments, actually, ALL the compliments at rehearsal the other night! Of course, that brings its own issues regarding balancing GVs, but we all need a challenge in life, eh? (when telling my son this, he laughed and said "#firstworldproblem, eh dad?" Took me a while to figure this one out........ but he's right )
