My brother-in-law cruises yard sales all the time. He once asked me if there was anything he should keep an eye out for me. I told him any guitars . amps and tubes. Well , he came across this 12AX7A and it is now in V1 of my Maz18: The guy selling it said it was a spare for a Zenith "record player" be bought in the late 50's and never used He wanted 25 cents for it,he got for a dime I believe it's a GE 12AX7A long plate labeled for Zenith. I cleaned the pins with Deoxit , popped it in the Maz and man it sounds great. Thought it was kinda cool with the logo.

I can't count the the times at gigs that I've been asked if my "Z" amp was a Zenith.
Also, I used to shop garage/yard sales for old TV's just to salvage tubes and transformers. Sadly, I rarely see any now.

It's sad that a little piece of glass and metal gets me all giddy...8) Nice score!
