Anybody have both? I have the Plexi and love it just looking for something to add to the board. In the videos they sound similar and I am just wondering if anybody has both and if they differ enough,

I tried a 57 the other night Rik. It's ok...to my ears, it got into fuzzy territory if the gain were up too high...almost like an old Tweed amp cranked. I just don't care for that tone. At lower gain settings, turn up the volume and it works well as a boost and adds a little "something" to your signal...Now in my mind, the Plexi is a totally different beast...although I have not played one, listening to the demos...it's going after that Marshall type of tone. I bet you it's a lot more smooth when the gain is cranked vs the 57. Meaning it doesn't sound...well...farty if you will. My vote would be for Plexi.

Thanks Mark,Kind of what I thought. I may go back and get a Plimsoul, had one for a year or so and stacked great,did the high gain to SRV really well and also did a pretty good job of ZZ sound. Not sure why I sold it now.

I have both and they are quite different
I'm keeping both
think you have to play with the 57 a bit to like it
It has 3 settings with a bit different feel
Pedal in general softens things up, not a punchy pedal
