I've always wondered why no presence control? Granted, I really don't think it needs one, but I'm just curious. Maybe DRZ can shed some light on it.

Did we leave something out here? Was it on any amp in particular or just life in general??

What the hell is "presence," anyway?

What the hell is "presence," anyway? Since the opposite of presence is absence, when I look at my amp and see it, I know it has presence.

I once got an amp as a present - would that qualify as having presence?

If I recall, Dr. Z said at one time that he could not put a presence circuit and the half power circuit on the same amp. Now maybe I dreamed that, or maybe I misunderstood. But presence is a power amp circuit, so that seems logical. At least to me.

I can see the possible conflict.

So my question is....is there a fixed/preset negative feedback loop? Or none at all?

I've always wondered why no presence control? Because God and Leo made 'em.....and they should always/only look like this: ( Dr. Z respects that, and knows it would look like crap on a Remedy anyway )

I thought the knob's purpose was to improve one's stage presence when performing live
