I use a Fullone Fulldrive 2 at home or the Klon KTR on gigs. Just wanted to say that those DGTs sound awesome through the Remedy. Great guitars. Definitely the most versatile guitar I've ever played as well as the best stock pickups. I'd love to have one of those bridge pups in my Les Paul.

Hey did either of you get the DLS III yet? No not yet I think maybe tomorrow! I am excited I been a huge fan of that pedal form when the first ones came out. I have a version2 right now and love it. I tried the MK11 the purple one and didn't like that one. I preferred the older version over it. So we will see.. Hopefully this new version will be better then the MK11 vesrion If not I will just stick with the older version.

BOTH volume knobs + a Les Paul. I went right down to the mancave and tried this out - you're right! But you did forget that it was two clicks on the BL!

Today I played the Remedy with my tele straight into it. HI-Vol on 1 o'clock/ Norm-Vol on 10 o'clock. Airbrake on 4 clicks. Wife came in to have me help with dinner & I said how's this sounding. She said nice & actually meant it. :-) I said its just the Remedy all by itself. She says that's a really nice sounding amp.
I was liking all the shades of cleanish to grind. I need to look into using my Fulldrive or 70s Fuzz as a dual boost.

When I'm using humbuckers with the Remedy I can either use the Flying Dragon or my Tim or Timmy if I'm not able to really crank the amp up to get the gain from it. With single coils I use the Rockett Animal - it sounds a bit more ballsy than the Tim/Timmy pedals. That is using the BL at 1 or 2 clicks at 20 watts with either the Creamback or the Gold.

I've been running my Jetter Jet Drive with the Rem lately--it's a soft clipping pedal similar to the BB, but with two different flavors on board. Great with single coils.

Hey did either of you get the DLS III yet? I got mine this weekend. It's a great sounding and well built pedal, however it may be a bit too much of its own flavor for the already great sounding Remedy. Disclamer....I've only spent about 30 minutes with it on the Remedy. Lots of available gain on the Super Lead mode. Check out the online manual on the Catlinbread site..really good info about the pedal. I think it was designed to use with a clean Fender to give you the Marshall in a box thing. It sounded great with my Vibrolux Reverb. Right now I'm still happy with my Timmy and Zendrive setup.

I would say that pedal would only work with the volumes between 9-10 on the Remedy, and no attenuation.

I had it set with the high volume at 10 and normal off. You can definately get some Marshall grind at low volumes with the DSL MKlll

I got mine today and a/b it with my older DLS V2 So far I am actually liking the overall tone of my older unit better its just sounds more natural and sweeter and it feels and sounds more like an amp. The newer version is still very good and has way more to offer in the gain stage as well as the two different modes SL and SB (super lead and super bass). I spent most of my testing in the super lead mode. Tomorrow I plan on trying the Super bass mode and have a feeling that I will be able to give this pedal some high praise.
No doubt about it the newer version has more gain and is much more versatile. They both sounded great. I would have to give my older version the edge it has a warmth and crunch too it thats sounds fat, articulate, warm and organic. Not a whole lotta gain though. But thats what I like. So I am thinking the SB mode may be a better fit for me. Surf thank you for the heads up on the manual that is a must have with this pedal. It def has a lot of options compared to the older version. I do have to credit Catalinbread for making a pedal that not only sounds good with humbuckers but also single coils.
The Super Lead is perfect for a les paul and the super bass for Strats and tele's I was actually able to dial in the newer version to get close to the tone of my older one. Not completely but close. All in all I would highly recommend this pedal If you are looking for foundation type overdrive pedal. This pedal has to be last in your chain like right before your delay and reverb. Leave it on roll back your volume for cleans. Then turn up for leads and in between slightly broken up tones and crunch. It also is made for you to stack your other pedals into. I love it with fuzz pedals and the new super bass mode was made just for that purpose. I been a big fan of this pedal from the get go so Im sure I will like this one once I get to gig with it and see what it can really do.

Thanks mytone. I tried out the super bass mode on the pedal today with my strats and came to the realization that this pedal is a upgrade from the original. It def has that JTM45 early Plexi tone and sits in real nice with the single coils. If you are a Hendrix fan like me this mode alone will put a smile on your face. You can also get some killer Angus young AC/DC tones in this mode by setting the treble and middle full and the bass at zero and setting the pre amp at about 2:00. The super bass mode has some serious bass so you really don't need to run it very high at all. In this mode I was able to really get closer to the original lower gain version that I have and really dig quite a bit. One thing I would like to also add is the DLS MK111 is def more open sounding then my original version. I plan on keeping both pedals that super bass mode is what sealed the deal for me. It also cleans up when rolling back your guitar volume in both modes exceptionally well.

Now you went and done it. I too am looking for an alternate tone to my strat. Does it ever end? Well lets not go there.lol I 've been tinkering with my tone for 35 years, sure is fun though.

Jon....have you sent your Rem in for the EQ bypass mod? Mike's video clip convinced me to have mine done while it was in for a checkup. It's pretty darn cool and might be just what you are lookin' for.....

Haven't done it yet. Will have to wait a bit, most likely--unexpected new guitar purchase has thrown the Mrs for a bit of a loop. But yeah--it sounds awesome!

Love the OCD. The Tim is quite nice too, but obviously not as gainy as the OCD.

Okay, I'm gonna call it definitively for the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret MK III. Perfect with humbuckers or single coils, totally nails the Marshall thing, just KILLS with the Rem even at low volume. Monster pedal with this (or any) amp. Wish I had three of 'em.
