I'm thinking something like an OCD might be just the ticket. Would the OCD's scooped mids and compression be a good fit with the Rem? Is there another OD you-all like better?

Jon....it depends on what you are looking for. Are you setting your Rem for a relatively clean tone and looking for the OD to do all the grind? (that's how I set mine) If so, do you need a mild OD AND a high gain drive? Or do you set the Rem for a mild breakup and only need something to kick it over the top?

I use mine the same way settings are usually high and normal at 10-10 bass at 10 middle 12-1 treble 1 Pretty much using the remedy clean and getting my dirt from my pedals.

I really dig the Z-Vex Distortron or an Barber SuperSport... My 2 cents I am not a fan of Fulltone stuff just don't do it for me...

I get my dirt from the Remedy (that 'crunch' is simply unbelievable), and, in case I want MORE, I step on a Draconis Dual Boost. The only pedal I use to get a different 'color' or 'flavor' is a Keeley Time Machine Boost (teh trebele booster side, amazing!!). I've tried a Throbak Overdrive Boost, but couldn't get what I wanted (it's an amazing OD if you're playing clean). I'd like to try Fulltone's Secret Freq, but I think that the results over an already driven Remedy will be quite close to the TMB. Anyway, I'd love to give it a spin. Tons of tone!!

I'm playing an OCD clone of sorts, and it is immense with both the Remedy and Z28 - I never thought anything would dislodge my BB, but this baby has!

I'm using a Wampler Plexidrive and it sounds amazing with the Remedy - you can kind of get the cranked Remedy tone (plus more) with it at low volumes. Also the JHS Angry Charlie sound really good. It's more of a JCM-800 type pedal, but if you roll the distortion back a bit, you can get the classic Marshall crunch.

Yeah--I should specify. Looking for something a bit mid-scooped to use with a LP; I'm thinking ZZ Top but at lower volumes. I've owned a couple of OCDs--a V1, which I just sold last year, and a V4, which got kicked off the board by other, more exotic stuff. But I always liked the way they sounded with humbuckers. The Plimsoul is another option--but really, I'm open to anything as long as it has a bit of upper mid scoop and some compression.

It has PLENTY of gain on tap and works with every amp I plug into, of course those are all Z's. I say try one, they aren't made of unobatinium and there aren't 100 versions.

I've tried countless overdrive pedals with the Remedy, they all sound fantastic! I tend to favor OD pedals that are less compressed and open sounding.

I just ordered the Calinbread Dirty Little Secret V3. It has a mid control. proguitarshop.com/catalinbread-dirty-little-secret.html

When I had my Maz, the DLS was a pedal I craved for, but I think that having a Remedy and using a 'foundation OD pedal' like this is a simple waste of the Rem's crunch, IMHO. Well, of course, if you play the Remedy clean, it has to be a great OD pedal with it. Tons of tone!!

I love mine with the OCD!
The Route only "dislikes" bass heavy fuzzes. the Mid-hump of the Rout basically takes over unless the volume is completely not breaking-up.

OCD sounds good but is a bit too compressed for my taste. AM Astrotone is my favorite dirt box. Technically it is a fuzz, but at medium gain it boosts the Remedy into a really open and crunchy goodness.

When I use my Les Paul its a different story.

Thats the DLS its probably the most Marshall like sounding pedal I have ever tried and it not only sounds like a real amp it feels like one too. Minus the tolex.

Actually no, it's a local guy here in the UK who builds beautiful pedals! The brand is Love Muffin Pedals. I was put onto them by a good friend of mine who's a pro player, and he loves 'em. I can see/hear why! I have to be honest when I think about it, and say that I believe this is an OCD clone, in that, the layout of the pedal is the same, so I'm guessing it is, but to my ears it sounds better - not as compressed. (I'm not a fan of Fulltone stuff generally, except the Clyde Wah)

Wampler Plexidrive and my BB Plus really work well together. I could get through any classic rock gig with the Wampler Plexi, EP Booster and my Flying Dragon. Truth be told - every OD pedal I have tried with the Remedy sounded great. Have fun!

Plus it really does take pedals well.

OCD v4 has my vote. I also have a TS-9 but find the mids can be a bit much with that.
