A friend of mine dropped off two boxes of old tubes. I think most of them were from his dad's old electronic repair business. I ruled out 95% of them very quickly based on look and pin style, but found a few that interested me. These 7199 tubes look an awful lot like preamp tubes we'd use. Any insight would be appreciated.

it's a triode/pentode not made anymore, thought there are a few substitutes around. Ampeg used them as a PI in at least one amp... the Gemini maybe?

Yup - When I saw the thread, I thought "that looks familiar". I have a Gemini IV 15" combo down int he basement. I cranked it up about a year ago and that old girl still sounded good.

I have a 66 Reverborocket - it has blue tolex along with reverb to die for! Still is cool!
