Received my Brake Lite from aslerjack today... I was planning on hard wiring it in to my 1x12 cab, but decided to keep the wooden back he had put on it and attach it to the inside of my cab with velcro.
I put it on the inside side panel so that the lead reaches my Stang Ray 8ohm jack. I leave the speaker cable plugged in to the bottom of the BL at all time. So when when it's time to use my Stang Ray, I plug the lead into my head and the speaker cable into my cab and I'm all set.
Now, how does it sound? Let me start by saying I had a Weber Mass Lite with my last few high powered Dr. Z's (Ray included)... I really didn't like the way it killed the top end. I also had a Hot Plate for a while and it made everything sound "off" just a little - But the BL sounds like MY amp, only softer. When I first plugged it in and started playing I thought I had started at 0 (for the bypassed tone), I played a little bit and then went to turn it up to test it....... only to realize I had it on 4 the whole time and I honestly couldn't tell I was being attenuated until the volume went up, quite a bit, when I adjusted it - but the tone stayed the same.
I have a feeling this is probably the best investment I've made in a long time.... Can't wait to use it next weekend at a gig to really test drive it.

Finally put it through it's paces today while the wifey was at work.
On 4, I could crank the Stangray up all the way and still be 2 feet from it without it killing my ears..Still felt very musical. I don't think I'll ever need that much, so I'm guessing it'll spend most of it's time between 0-1 and maybe on 2 at some very conserative gigs.
GuitarZ: Ugh! Dropped small nut while installing new outside lamp. Thought I saw where it landed. Couldn't find it. Moved the car & such. Engineering mind said, drop another (after ~hour). Bang! Within 5 seconds. Nut found! Yea! Wife Impressed!

GuitarZ: Bells & Whistles-New Cars. A year with our Subaru Outback, finally realized doors have to be unlocked for inside rear hatch button to work. Dang! I need that feature for social distancing. Looked like an idiot pulling up & jumping out to manually open.

GuitarZ: Best Pandemic Comment - Delivery guy shows up. As we're social distancing, I look at myself in brown loafers, black socks, gym shorts, t-shirt and say "I realize this is not my best look". His response "You can wear whatever you want to the apocalypse."
