Hey guys,
I found heaven with the pairing of the Maz Sr and the Klon Centaur with a nash tele. It has a nice rich, full beautiful sound. The problem is that I need a little more grit for leads. Has anyone used the Centaur for the regular sound, and boosted it for leads? I love the general tone and do not want to cut off the Klon during leads, just add a little extra.

I don't use a Klon (have played with a few before so I am familiar) but do use several boost pedals with Z's and the MAZ SR. I also like stacking multiple boost's / OD's (usually set more like a boost)... For what you are needing to use with your Klon / Maz on all the time tone, I cannot more highly recommend the Lizard Leg "Flying Dragon" (or "Draconis") boost. very simply put, your sound just more... Flying Dragon would be a single boost with one volume knob, and personally I'd go with the "Draconis" as it gives you two separate flying dragon boost pedals in one... for a couple of different levels of boosting your Klon / Maz... Draconis works very well with both the Maz SR and stacked with other pedals. Probably a few other pedals that would work, but I think one of these would be exactly what your talking about....

Thanks a lot! I have never heard of the Lizard Leg. I was going to attempt to boost before the Klon with my clean boost on the Box Of Rock. I have a feeling that this might be a little thin, but I'm not sure. I will definitely look into that one.

I play a Tele and use my Klon as a clean boost only. The gain is always at minimum. I used to have a MAZ Sr. Now I use a Jr or a JAZ. I think I know what you're going for. I use a Tim in front of the Klon for a transparent OD. If I need a little mid eq hump I use a Paisley Drive. I've had the Klon for 15 years. Great pedal. Some people don't get what it does though.
