Hey folks. Im new to the world of Dr. Z amps. i just purchased a 2007 Prescription Extra Strength and i love it. i am a huge brad paisley fan and i know he loves Dr. Z amps so i had to get me one. i got it a couple days ago and i absolutely love it. it has that twang and bark that was exactly what i was looking for. Im looking to get a Dr. Z cab. i was thinking of a 2x10. good choice?

Welcome to the forum,
The 2x10 cab will sound good with the RX ES especially if you need it cleaner and punchy at loud levels, I like the 2x10's with the 38-50 watt Z amps a bit more than the lower wattage Z's, as they can really push the 10"s more. But If you like the BP style thing... and really I'd recommend this with the RX ES anyway,
In the same size Z cab the 2x10 comes in.... you can get a 1x12 C Gold that is a GREAT match with the RX ES...
I Highly recommend this... you just need to make sure you break the speaker in well, which you should have no problem doing running it for a while with the RX cranked.
I also like the 12" 50 watt Alnico Weber Silvers and...
REALLY REALLY like the new 50 watt Weber ceramic Grey Wolf specifically with the RX ES... that is a perfect speaker for the RX ES and is right up there with the Gold paired with that amp IMHO.

Thanks Jason,
I was actually looking into the Celestion gold series. That was my entire conundrum: 1x12 or 2x10?
Thanks for the advice. I'd like to achieve the BP sound as best possible so i think i'm going to go with the 1x12 celestion gold.
its a bit pricey, haha, but i want my RX ES to sound the best it possible can.
I'll post a photo when its all together.

The Gold is a great speaker and worth the $$ especially if that's the the sound you're going for with the RX ES. When you get a cab for it, come back on here and let us know what you think about it after you get it.
