Just wondering how many people have bought a guitar, and then bought another exactly the same color, model, pickups, etc? And, if you have the matching set(s) - do they all have the same 'mojo' as the first one? Why do I ask? Probably 'cause next week there is a full-moon and I'm looking at too many guitars lately that match some I already have.

Only old Dano/Silvertones. I think the most I ever paid for one was $70 with the amp in case. Most were in the $7 to $40 range so I just have multiples of those because they were cheap. I have two ES175s. A burst I bought new in '89 for $1,200 and 70s blonde that I also got for the same price. I can see having multiple Tele types but I don't think I'd ever buy two of the exact same thing.

*Exactly* the same? No.
But I do have two strats (backup), & an ASAT & a tele (ditto).
Working on 2 Zs...

Again, not exactly the same. But I have had several ASATs--mostly semihollows. They all were a little different from the last.
Just out of curiosity, what is your goal? I kinda think that all guitars have their own "DNA", so the odds of have two "exactly" the same amounts to some pretty long odds.

I try to make sure all of my guitars are a little different. I understand the reasoning behind two of the same though. If you're playing and one goes down every thing's ok. But I've never had that happen, especially since I switched to graphite saddles and quit breaking strings. Jason always keeps a near identical guitar close by. He's got a couple of back up amps, too. If I didn't want so much different stuff, I'd consider this method.

yeah, me, too. i always make sure they are different. i don't like having the doubles because one end up not getting played at all and it's just a complete waste of resources for me.

As it is I decided to forgo the identical guitars and get a different model but same manufacturer .... ah the joys of trading gear

I only have two electrics, but I made sure the were different so I could diversify my sound. Got a strat and tele and all I need now is a Grestch semi hollow body and I'm done (at least for a while).
