Just curious....if I want to run my Maz 8 Combo (with 16ohm Blue) together with a 1x12 cab with a Gold....does the Gold have to be 16 ohm as well? If I did this, then I would use the 8 ohm plug on the combo, right??

The "cleanest" way to do it is to have both speakers 16 ohms and run them in parallel. This would result in an 8 ohm load. Formula is:
1/R1 + 1/R2 = 1/R(total)
So 1/16 + 1/16 = 2/16 = 1/8, and R(total) =8. You'd use the 8-ohm speaker jack on the amp.
If you used an 16-ohm Blue with the 8-ohm Gold, you'd get
1/16 + 1/8, which equals 1/16 + 2/16 = 3/16. So R(total) = 16/3 = 5.3 ohms
If you use this configuration (16 ohm Blue + 8 ohm Gold), I'd use the 4-ohm output. Yeah, it's driving a 5.3 load, but considering we willingly add resistance to our Z's by using a Brake Lite, I wouldn't worry about the mismatch damaging the amp.

Exactly...I checked this with Brent before I paired my combo (16 ohm) with my cab (8 ohm)...5.33 ohms in parallel: use the 4 ohm output.
