Hi All, I just put of set of Lollar Blonde's in my 76 strat. Great tone and balance between the strings and each pickup. Lollar uses ALNICO 2 magnets on the blonde set which has less string pull than the ALNICO 5. The bridge pup sounds great with no brittleness at all. The "quack"tone between neck and middle is sweet. The middle-bridge quack is sweet as well. The neck is chimey and clean. When using an Xotic BB, Zendrive, fulltone Fat boost, Tim..it all sounds awesome. Ok, so now I am very curious about Lollars' Imperial humbuckers. Rick

Lollar's Imperial humbuckers are the best I have heard, ever. They are in my Collings I35 Deluxe (loosely modeled on a Gibson 335) Sweet, clear with none of the 'muddiness' I tend to associate with humbuckers. And, they willl alsoo produce plenty of ballsy tone when you go that way. Just incredible. Highly recommended!
Collings also uses them on the 'Les Paul' styled guitar.

Glad you're liking your new Blondes. I have a set of blondes in my Strat and love them. They replaced a set of Fralin Blues. I really prefer the Lollars. I'm also using Lollars in my Tele with excellent results. Probably the best sounding traditional Tele neck pup I've ever played on. Vintage T neck & Special T bridge.
Just last week, I put some Imperials in my PRS custom 22. They were nice, and much better than the stock Dragon IIs, but not quite what I was looking for. ALso, they are supposed to be potted, but I was getting some squeal on the bridge pup at higher volumes using a Menatone pedal into my Ray. I was very close to the amp, though.
Now I'm waiting on a set of Wolfetone Marshallheads to try in the PRS. Should be here next week. I've heard nothing but raves on Woletone humbuckers. Guys on the gear page & Les Paul forums are gaga over the Dr. V and Marshallhead models. Hope they sound as good as everyone claims! I'll post my opinions once I install them, if anyone is interested.

I just put a set of Lollar Blondes in one of my Strats today. I can't believe how great these pickups are!!! They replaced 2 Texas Specials and a Rio Grande Stelly in the bridge. What a difference.
My '75 Strat is loaded with Rio Grandes and after hearing the Lollars the Rio's are in trouble.
