I'm sitting here with my two favorite tele's this morning, and it occurs to me that I want another Crook tele. I'm seriously tempted by Bill's new WV tele that BP played at the CMA's in November, but on the other hand, theres no beating the vintage old school sunburst. I'm thinking purely aesthetics here, I already know what the sound is going to be; an adder neck pickup with a 60's Voodoo bridge and a G-bender.
On the esquire tele ive got a voodoo pickup in there, and im finding that im playing ti alot more than im playing my black paisley tele, which has a fralin blues special in it. I love the fralin, but it just doesnt have the output that the voodoo has. which sucks, cause i want to use them both live, but have to fiddle with the volume on my amps whenever the guitars get switched. I'll get it figured out though.
How's everyone doing this morning?

This thread is useless without pics... hmmm good point! here's the WV Paisley tele that I was speaking of (hope you dont mind me using your pic zac...) and here's the esquire I've built I want a sunburst that, I think, looks more vintage - the one i've got seems to have alot of orange in the color scheme... anyway, its all aethetics, as I said LOL I think I should prolly stay away from getting another paisley for a while. I just got a Mcpherson Acoustic, and Bill Crook was giving me junk about being a 'Brad Wannabe' as he put it - the guy's such a goofball...! he's gotten to be a pretty good friend over the past few years thoguh, and I'm lucky to have gotten to know him.

Hey "nostagefright", I've got my second Crook Custom on order as we speak. I started out with a surf green paisley Strat that I just LOVE! It's become my #1 guitar, and I've received nothing but complements from anyone who's heard it or had the chance to play it. The feel is just amazing and Bill had a bridge pickup custom wound by Voodoo that just blows away anything else I've ever heard in a Strat style guitar. Simply amazing. Anyway, got off track there a little. The guitar I've got on order now is a Tele in the WV paisley that you mentioned. After getting such great results with the Strat, I knew I had to get one of Bill's Teles. Also I wanted a rosewood fretboard on this guitar as all my other Teles have maple boards. That rosewood just looks killer with the WV paisley body and headstock. Mine should be done in another couple of months, so I can't wait to get her. Bill is the best in the business and is great to talk guitars, gear, or just anything in general with. Couldn't ask for more.
