I really want a Z-Wreck, but right now my finances won't allow it. My only option, other then wait, is to sell a bunch of gear. I love my Route 66 and that is going nowhere. Would you give up 4 amps (a Marshall DSL, Fender RI Bassman and RI Deluxe and a Vox AC15HHTV1) to get a Z-Wreck?

I would give up those four amps to get a Wreck. JMO
I would sit down and decide what you will end up playing and enjoying the most. If they were vintage amps it might be a different story. I sold off my JTM-45 RI and 1960AX cabinet that I had played through for years when I got my Ghia and have never had a second thought. A "Z Wreck" is next on my list. I don't plan to sell the Ghia to get one but I do plan to get one in time.

Since I already have one I can say that I'd give up all four of those amps for a Wreck. One thing for sure...if you're like me, you won't need them or want to use them anymore once you get a Wreck. Sell 'em!

Yes I would. Unless you play them ALL the time. Or do you play those and think about the Z?

I have too many sentimental guitars that i just can't give away. BUT... if they weren't sentimental/gifts from loved ones i'd trade e in a heart beat. all my gear (drumset included) except my rxjr, my tele, and my takamine.

I wouldn't sell my Tiny Terror, though ;D Keith the best part of the TT is the PC112 cabinet - it sounded awesome, hands down the best 1 speaker cab I ever owned. Don't regret selling it for the Z Wreck though! J5

I traded a '63 RI Relic CS Telecaster, a Z28 and a Mini Z. Absolutely no regrets.

I can't wait to aks my wife for one for my birthday, just to see her face. My buddy is telling me to rethink my plans. He says Jeff Beck uses the DSL and that is good enough for him. Going go check a wreck out soon to refresh my memeory.

Going go check a wreck out soon to refresh my memeory. I had a DSL 100 watt silver half stack. I liked it, but it never got used in my basement. I have a Z-Wreck. The amps do not even compare I don't care what Jeff Beck used or is using, with a Strat or a Tele the Wreck absolutely smokes the DSL.....unless we are talking hard rock. But then again, I can't watch/listen to Jeff Beck playing guitar for any more than a couple minutes! Keith

Supposed to get a Z wreck today via Fed Ex. I sold my Carr Rambler to obtain it. I also gave up some free space on the ol' credit card.

Boy, that's a tough one... I'm left handed, and I've sold off some guitars lately. Being left-handed makes it even harder to replace good guitars, but I have a Gibson R9 that gets it done. Amp-wise, it's hard NOT to want to get every Z you can afford. One thing is for sure...Z's values are going up over time and the 'off the shelf' Fender / Marshall / Vox's are going down (9 times out of 10). You'd have to drug me pretty heavily to trade off a Z these days, but I suppose it's a step towards what you want. Some of the amps that I've bought at great prices make it extra hard to let go of. Especially when you think about how much you'd have to pay to get one back. Tone is a moving target and journey. Far be it from me to say "don't do that" when I've tried everything under the sun in the last 4 years.
