I am trying to figure out at what point Samick entered the picture? Are the VA's worth looking into? Thanks! Rick

If I have my info right, it goes something like this...
VA was a custom guitar company in the 80's and 90's. Apparently, they had problems and folded, a la Matchless, etc. I think that's when Samick ended up with the name and started doing the cheaper Korean versions. Then in the early 2000's, VA became a part of Gibson. Now it's back to being a high-end, custom shop type operation.
Like Wikipedia, I welcome edits... LOL But I think that's the basic process of what happened with them, give or take..
Rick, shoot me a PM if you want to find out about my experiences with them.
J

I've played the Brent Mason sig model and thought it was OK. I've played Fender's that sounded better and I didn't think the guitar was on the same level as TAG, Suhr, Grosh, et al.
