Hey there,
well, as soon as I get this thing working again, I will be looking for a new speaker to go in my old style Z 1x12. Any thoughts?
It s currently got a celestion G12H80 in it. I was thinking of looking for something that will give me some decent clean chime, and then give up the goods for some chunk.
Is a Weber Silver Bell (Alnico) gonna do it for me, or should I look to a Emi Red Fang?
Not ruling out the Celestion Gold/Blue but I would rather save some dough.

I have a Weber Legacy that I think will sound great with the Jr. I got the 30 watt 30 oz magnet with H screen dust cap. I will give it a try pretty soon (right now it's in my Maz 8 and sounds great). I do like the G12H30 with it, but I think I'll like the legacy even more. The legacy has good clean chime for a ceramic speaker, but doesn't get fizzy sounding with overdrive or distortion. There are still plenty of highs to maintain clarity but it's not ice pickey. If I had to pick between the Gold and Blue with the Rx Jr I'd go with the Gold. I've never tried the silver bell with the Jr but I think it would sound good with it. It runs real close in tone to the Gold.

I tried a new Gold for my jr and now have a Private Jack. I like the PJ way better for rocking tones. I think the jr was made for a Greenback style speaker. I want to try a heritage Greenback next.

My favorite speaker combo for this amp is a V30/G12H in an open back 2x12. I've really struggled to find a single 12 that I like with this amp, but have settled on a Warehouse Green Beret for now. Seems to balance the Marshall and Vox personalities of the amp pretty well. There's just something about the Rx series amps that shines with two dissimilar speakers for me.
