Hi New around here and really interested in a Z Wreck. I'm having trouble finding any info on warranty. What is a new Z Wreck warranty? If I buy a used Wreck will it transfer?
Thanks Ben

Something tells me that the warranty is with the original owner (officially) and only applies to the continental US.

Good question. I looked over the Dr Z site and could not find the warranty info... But never fear!... I looked at my warranty papers for all of my Z's and it's 3 years. Minus tubes & speakers.... But never fear again because Dr Z backs his products better than anyone in the business! You'll find him here regularly making trouble shooting tips and service instructions. Buy with confidence...Buy a Z!!

It's also in "News from Dr Z" section.... As Lefty has posted.... But here it is again- "DR.Z warranty: Limited 3 year warranty parts and labor to ORIGINAL owner only. Tubes and speakers have OEM 90 day warranty. After 3 years original owners still have full lifetime on any part ( except tubes, speakers and sockets ) . I will replace any failed part after 3 years for only a small labor charge, but the" PART" lifetime designed warranty will be free. As long not abuse or physical damage from shipping. Example an Output Tranny fails to an original owner after 6 years of ownership send it back with proof of purchase I will replace it and return ship it for a labor charge of only $30.00. Any used Z-Amps will be serviced but a Parts , Labor and shipping charge will apply. I did offer a lifetime warranty to original owners of the RT 66, same tubes not covered after 90 days though. With it's small part count and over sized components 9 years into the run and all RT 66's are still working strong. So the RT 66 will have same warranty only no small labor charge to ORIGINAL owner. I believe I covered it all please note your warranty sheet as I had a Lawyer prepare it, but what I noted is the essence of the warranty. DR.Z" Read more: ztalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=94#ixzz1rV7er9i6

Great, thanks for the quick replies! That's what I assumed on buying used. I found a Wreck used here in the NW, but I really like the peace of mind of having a warranty.

Sounds good but when I bought my Wreck there were no papers at all...no warranty or registration card,no manual. All I got is the receipt from the dealer.

^^^ You need to talk to your dealer about that. There should have been one envelope with Dr Z on the outside and inside is one very official looking Dr Z Amps Limited Warranty document. One page...with your serial # on it. Your dealer is the fall guy in this. Contact them ASAP. Good luck and let us & Dr Z know your findings...

Mark I think it has something to do with the foreign-sold amps (through distributors). I bought all 4 of my amps new (order in and not bought off the floor) through L&M here in Canada and the last one (Z-Wreck) was the first one to have the paperwork. Keiith

^^^ Keith
You may be right. "Warranty only valid in the United States of America" it says..
Still I bet they ship with the paper in the box....Maybe not.
Wonder why your Wreck came with it and not the others?

Well I contacted Dr.Z immediately after purchasing and they told me it's all fine and that's not unusual.
