I'm wondering if I can swap out the Duncan P-90s in my neck position and gain some better clarity and definition.
Are there any P-90 style pickups that will give it a little more twang? These are the std Duncan P-90s.

Lentz uses a 7K P90 for the neck pickup and uses 1 meg pots. Pretty bright but still full sounding. Fralin likes an 10% to 20% underwound on the neck and a normal or 10% underwound at the bridge. He makes good pickups at reasonable prices. I'd check with him.

I have Fralin's in a couple of Epiphone Les Paul Jr.'s that that I play slide on. They are plenty bright. The Rev. Jimmie Bratcher www.jimmiebratcher.comwww.myspace.com/jimmiebratcher

Lentz also uses 1 meg pots and I'll bet those would brighten up a dark pickup

Sweet [/quote] That is a guitar I bought on ebay for $150.00 Epiphone Les Paul Jr. one of the parts places I can't remember if it is All Parts or were sells a spacer that sets under a dog ear P90 which makes that guitar the loudest guitar I own. There is a picture of my recording setup in the Route 66 Gallery. I also play a strat that I put 3 P90's in I used True Tone pickups for that. I don't think that True Tone is doing any more pickups. Pretty much the whole RED CD was P90's. The Rev. Jimmie Bratcher www.jimmiebratcher.comwww.myspace.com/jimmiebratcher

You site looks sweet, Rev.! If you still have your Barge Concepts BP-1 I'd love to hear some clips.
P.S. you can put your site urls and whatnot in your signature so you don't have to type it out everytime. Just click profile up at the top banner and then the modify profile tab.
Welcome!

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm mixing you up with the "other" Rev. Easy mistake! BTW The songs you've got on your website are killer!
