Yeah, cases notwithstanding, you can buy the amp and Z-Verb new for $4398. Those are nice cases, but....

worth every penny it's asking...I paid $3699 plus taxes of course......I'm in the market for a matching z verb in quantum silver....these go for about $899 plus tax....total of $4598 plus taxes where I live would be final total of $4827.90 tax in....now add the cases....not too bad of a deal for someone with the cash who wanted to use this amp on the road for touring.... in my opinion, its the best new amp on the go right now for blues, rock and country, hands down! this thing as i said is worth every penny...

drzplayer,
Although you are correct that the asking price for this equipment is fair if it were brand new and completely unused. However, the gear in this post is slightly used. IMHO, while Dr. Z's are top notch, this situation would appear to be no different than buying a car, driving it a day or two and then attempting to sell it at full value. With that in mind, how would that affect your opinion?

I'm guessing he's hoping to get all of his money, including shipping and tax paid, back on the sale. But realistically, in this economy, and considering you can call Humbucker Music or a list of other music stores and have one shipped out immediately at full price, he's got a much better chance of selling the entire package at a 20% reduction from where he's currently pricing it. If you're seriously interested in it send him an email and make him a reasonable offer...you never know. This is not an amp/package to low ball someone on though and considering the money he's already spent on the gear I doubt he's hard up enough to sell it at 'fire sale' prices.
