Well about 2 weeks ago, my Strat Plus was stolen from a bar where I was playing. Luckily, I had insurance and my insurer did the honourable thing and paid up quickly. I played a bunch of guitars trying to decide what to get to replace the Strat. I play rhythm guitar, so I needed something versatile and of high quality. I was taken with the Ernie Ball Silhouette and so that is the replacement I settled on. The H-S-H pickup configuration is great and allows a ton of tone options. Best of all, the guitar I liked was on sale because the "sparkle" finishes were discontinued awhile back. I think this guitar will look (and sound) wicked on stage! Cheers, Blair

Hate to hear about your strat being stolen. But congratulations on the MM Silo! THey are great guitars all around. I like the finish on yours a lot! There's a guy over on the Ernie Ball Forum who is nuts for Sparkle finishes. You should post this over there, great bunch of folks. My name is candyredsilo on that board. Bill

Cool...I always wanted a silver sparkle tele...maybe someday I'll have one.
IS the neck on that thang real wide or is it just the photos angle? It darn near looks like a 6 strang bass...

Funny - just found out from the Music Man BB (Ernie Ball's customer service rep) that my guitar was made 4.5 years ago in 2002 and shipped to where I purchased it. I just bought it "new" on clearance!!!
Now that is some slow inventory turnover! (Please, no snide remarks about the low demand for this guitar...or this color) ;D
Cheers, Blair

Guitar is fine ...but that strap HAS to go! LOL! Are you saying I managed to find a strap even tackier than the guitar? Sweet! (BTW, the strap is one of the more popular models from Jodi Head, NYC). Cheers, Blair

You're 4 1/2 years ahead of the game!

My son who was eight at the time picked out that same strap for the guitar I bought him for his birthday. He loves pirates.
