If it plays great and more importantly sounds great and the price is right, go for it! I think it looks awesome.

That one's got the transition logo on the headstock. A friend of mine has a Closet Classic CS '65, and for some reason Custom Shop gave that one the spaghetti script logo...very cool, too. Fabulous guitar at the heart of it all. Price is right?

transitional logo started in teh late '65, so guitars made in that year could have either spaghetti or transition logos.

Well, he said I could have it for $1,300. It's mine now. I think that's a pretty good deal. It sounds like you think a Strat should.

That is a great deal Quinto! They usually go for $200 to $400 dollars more. Just looking at that guitar is giving me GAS pains.

Since we're talkin Strats can someone chime in on the difference between noiseless PUP's and regular strat PUP's? I have never A/B'd the two but am very curious about the differences. Someone on another thread apparently did not think to highly of the noiseless PUP's but did not elaborate the details. Thanks!

I had noiseless as original PU of my 2002 Deluxe, never been satisfied : sound didn't come out, no brilliance, no volume... When I replaced them with Voodoo, guitar started to shine. Obviously not like a good-sounding-74orbefore-strat but another dimension...

Thanks! in critical listening situations, most noiseless pickups don't sound like singlecoil PUs. but on the practical level, some sound close enough to me. FWIW, i like noiseless better than EMGs in Strats and i've found DiMarzio's VirtuAL series to sound pretty decent.

I've got a set of Kinman Blues in my Warmoth strat and while they sound nice they are not a classic or traditional strat sound. A little fatter and warmer. I got noiseless pickups for this guitar because I need to be able to use it with ALL my amps, sometimes in high gain situations where only noiseless will do. They don't have the articulation of Lindy's, Lollars, Voodoo's, or Fender pickups, they are a little compressed sounding to me. I've heard good things about the Dimarzio Area 61's and 58's. I agree with mudskippers previous post, I just can't put up with noise and I won't ever go back to EMG's. Jason
