Just picked this up on Ebay. Owner says it's in mint/new cond! It's a 2005 AM Std Tele w/case! Great deal too! Plus, it's my favorite color, will go good with the blonde Ghia!

Paul
Nice indeed!
I see it has one of those roller type string tree's. When are you getting it? You might want to tell the ghia ahead of time so she won't get too jealous with another blonde around. You know how blondes can be.

Plus, it's my favorite color, will go good with the blonde Ghia! You do realize this means you'll also need a hat and pair of Tony Lama's that match also? Congrats! Ray K.

You know how blondes can be. He says he's shipping tomorrow (Monday) from FL so, I'm guessing it should be her by Thursday/Friday.... Yeah, same string tree as my AM Strat. I think it's going to sound awesome with the Ghia and the Sr...

Well, FedEX did it once again! Instead of getting the new Tele yesterday from Florida to NH, FedEx mis-routed the package and sent it to af FedEx hub in Los Angles!!!! And no Myles, you can't have it! It's mine! It's now supposed to arrive on the 26th, as long as they don't ship it somewhere else instead.
So, I'm looking on-line to see the status of the delivery. Was all excited because it should have shown, "on the truck for delivery in NH". But instead it showed... Deliverd to Los Angles!!!!
I Called FedEx and told them I wanted it over-nighted form LA to NH by Saturday. They said, if they found the truck they would do it because they admited their mistake.
I get a call back and they said they found the truck but it was too well packed that they didn't have the man-power or time to unpack it. So, now it's going to take a long ride from CA to NH. The original seller told me he packed it well enough for the long journey.
So, Floriday by way of California to NH. This is going to be one home-sick Telecaster! Maybe they can put some state stickers on the case... ya know, "I've been every where Man, I've been Every where"... Jonhy Cash style!

Nothing worse than waiting for a new toy !! Looks like a good one .
I guess i'm getting a 2006 Tele in white and a 2006 Strat plus in the amber clear finish that I think I'll swap ot the pups in and try those one's suggested in the "best blues pickup" thread . I just got a 97 Lester but a good friend really wants it so I'm trading the Lester and one of my Rivera Fandango 55's to him ( we have done a lot of swapping over the years ) . He's a good guy and disabled pretty bad with arthritis but still plays and it's the only thing he really enjoys . He feels the Lester will be easier to play as he owned one some years back . I don't care too much for Lesters and I don't need 2 Rivera Fandango's so what the heck , I'm happy if he is ! ;D

Paul G,
That IS a beautiful instrument. Congratulations! (Covet covet covet...)
Matt H,
Technically, that's not a 'roller' string tree. The T-bar doesn't actually roll freely, it's just round in shape. It's the same tree as I have on my American Deluxe V-Neck Strat. Some of those trees have a minor flaw: there is often a slightly raised edge that can catch the string when you do a big bend on the 1st or 2nd strings. If Paul's is so afflicted, he'll feel a tiny 'pop' and hear a bit of a 'ping' as the bend goes up and comes back down. And the steel is hard enough that it isn't real easy to file it smooth.
Paul, here's hoping yours is smooth! Enjoy that beautiful axe!
Daniel

Just picked up the Tele!!! Man this guitar is brand new! Still had the tags on it. Frets are shiney and polished, not a scratch, ding, nothing! Feels and plays like a new guitar that could use some good breakin.
Just tried it with the CG and MazSr. A tele with the CG is just amazing! The Maz made her scream too, but for that good ole twang, the CG is perfect.
I think I'm all set now..

Your Ghia and Kendrick is doing well... I'm going to steal your George L cable though. It makes a huge difference in tone.

Paul, Is it your new #1 guitar? I can't wait to try it out. By the way, Are the Kendrick and the Ghia behaving? Karma Matt, I think it has become my #1 guitar. I can't get over how awesome it sounds for all genre's of music. When you think tele, you thnk country, but I've been doing all kinds of stuff... New age, etc.. Rock, blues... Satch-like stuff.. It's amazing. Now my band can play New World Man by Rush, as Alex uses a blonde Tele for that tune! "He's a new world man"! :-)

I've got a sunburst american standard. They are really great guitars, and they work especially well with the Z amps. Good luck with it.
