I guess production of these in the USA has been dicontinued .
I've never seen or played one but wondering if anyone owns or has played one and your impressions as to quality/sound .
I understand the Kingsnake amp was a hot item too till they discontinued those . Looks like another small North-Am company that has not made it in the market .

I had a Rocco hardtail and an Avenger GT (S/S/H), the Rocco with rosewood neck and the Avenger with maple. The Rocco had splitter mini switches for both pickups. Both had locking tuners.
Terrific necks. The build quality was excellent and they did the semi hollow body thing wonderfully. There was also a model called the Slingshot that had P90s and three lipstick pickup model that was pretty noisy. Somewhere on the forum I asked Carl Verheyen if he still used the models he was endorsing back in the day and he said he'd used it some with Supertramp in place of a 335.
I don't know about the Kingsnake, but the HELLHOUND was a beast. I played a few gigs with a loaner from a friend and it was a brutal little amp, lightweight and very loud. Had a British/American voicing switch ("Schizo") and you could toggle between 40 and 60 watts. If Joe Naylor had been able to develop a line of amps with as many different and unique features as the HH, he might be giving our Dr a run for his money, although the amp's components were mostly assembled in China and then put together here...
I really did hate to see Naylor go all import, though. These were remarkable instruments for the money when American made; now they're just another good import.

I think he still has a high end American line, like the Rick Vito. I guess I'll go to his site and see what's up.

I've got a Reverend Goblin (the little 5-15 watter) and it's a cool little amp. I'm curious to try one of the new Slingshot's when the store in my area gets them in this month. Looks like a pretty nice guit for the $...

I have never played a Reverend USA guitar but I'm super impressed with the Korean line. I have a Warhawk HB and everyone who sees, hears, or plays it is blown away by it. It's a sweet axe. pics

I have a warhawk (HB) too, and I think i got my moneys worth. From researching about 2 years of forum posts about Reverend guitars I have found both import and USA models were well regarded. Its more up to you if you like a non Gibson/Fender design. Sound wise they have also been described as versitile .

I never saw one with the reverse headstock. Have you seen those Steinberger tuners like on the new Epiphone Firebird? Cool looking!

40:1 ratio on those suckers, because there are no gears in them. They do look really cool on a firebird headstock.

I've been looking for a Slingshot model for a while. The perfect one for me came and went last week on ebay. I just don't have the cash to spend at the moment. This was a custom model (with 3 P-90s) from the Advanced series in faux curly maple finish with rosewood fretboard (to match my ES-335), black 3-ply pickguard, and the bass contour knob. It went for $850!

I saw Unknown Hinson friday night. He was playing a new P90 equipped Reverend, the one with the F-hole. It sounded amazing through his AC30, but he is an amazing guitar player. www.unknownhinson.com

Weird style on the clip on that site. Hard rock and then sings twangy over it. I don't get it. Im old, I guess.

I picked up a P90 Warhawk this weekend and I love it. I got rid of my Tele to fund the purchase and I have no regrets at all. This thing is really a superb guitar - especially considering it costs under $500. I get some of that tele twang (with a bit more fattness) on the bridge, strat like tones in the middle and Les Paul like tones on the neck (a little more "snarly" though). Yeah, SNARLY.. that's how this guitar sounds when you crank it. I'm amazed at how nice the cleans sound too when you back down on the volume. I wish I'd discovered P90's sooner - they just have a mojo to them that I never got from the smaller single coils... I highly recommend these new Reverends. They really do a nice job setting them up when they get them in from overseas. I beat the hell out of this thing all weekend and it won't go out of tune! I gotta feeva... and the only prescription is more P90 guitars!

"I like Hank III!"
You're not old then ha ha. Have you seen him live though? He does a country set, a hellbilly set, then an Assjack (metal/hardcore) set!

I've only heard the contry and hellbilly stuff. I'd split during the third set so I'm just old and in the way. You know, just sweep around me and then when I pass, sack me up and put me on the curb trashday.

I owned a Shingshot custom for a while it is the 3 P90 guitar with a five position switch. The guitar sounded great. I like really fat necks and the one I had was really thin so I sold it and bought a 70's Japan Re-Issue Start and put 3 P90's in it. It is my main guitar. I used it on one song on my Something Better CD the song title is Scarred King you can hear it on my web site. On that song I am playing through a Maz 18 Jr. 1x12 if I remember right it is the rhythm guitar. Jimmie www.jimmiebratcher.comwww.myspace.com/jimmiebratcher
