My guitar volume is starting to crackle and sound scratchy. What do you use to fix this problem?... or do you just accept it and try to add Rap to your set-list?
Thanks.

Try to turn the knob back and forth, this will clean it. I've had pots that cleaned up very well that way. It may not work, it might need to be replaced.

Get a can of deox 5 from an electronic supply place . There are proper cleaners that only work in pots and this is one of them , just spray in a bit and work back and forth . ALSO !! .....and this is important....make sure you protect the finish of your guitar and any spray or fluid that may run out of that pot after you do squirt some in and you don't need a lot . I found that one out the hard way once , it probably will attack the guitars finish .

Yes, protect the finish! Good point. You know, I've seen WD -40 used and then wiped off carefully. Never heard or seen it do anything bad to the guitar or electronics. I'm not recommending this, but wow! Noise is GONE!!!
