Just unwrapping this baby. I know folks were as curious as I about the new front panel. So here's a quick snap for ya.
Need to load this back up and give it a whirl!

Since I put my Z28 into the Monza's 1x12 cab in its absence I decided to try the Monza in my 1x10 combo. Off to plug in. Got 20min till I need to leave.

Wow! That looks great! Very handy having that MV on the front. I like the look of the faceplate too.

As I mentioned, I only had a few min to play it (freely and loudly) before I had to run out for the day. Just getting home now, but wanted to update. I can second everything Todd has already shared about this mod...everything I liked about the Monza at a more reasonable volume. Apart from extreme settings - Vol maxed, Drive maxed, tone maxed, Master on 1 - sounds were great! Also, the master isn't removable from the circuit, but I can say that maxing the Master knob, and putting V and D at 11:00, Tone at noon - sounded just like the non-mv modded Monza to me. That is good. I am looking forward to comparing this in the 1x10 to the 1x12 next, but gonna leave it in the 10 for a bit. I have only played my EJ strat through it so far anyway. Want to mess around with a few other guitars too. And as a bonus, the powertubes got a refresh as well...and the old tubes were in the box with a note "keep for spares." So I got that going for me, which is nice.

And a new setting I tried out tonight:
Vol: 9:00 Drive: 5:00 (max) Tone: 2:00 (to taste) Master: 9:00-10:00
I was using my Taylor solidbody classic with a mini humbucker in the neck. Cleanish to fat tones by just digging in with my fingers. Very cool.

Very cool Sean I love the look of that combo. I will be interested to hear the comparison between the 1/10 and the 1/12 combo. I like the portability of the 1/10 but always like the 1/12 speaker tone especially for Rock and Blues tone. Although I have heard great things about the tone of the 1/10 Monza and would probably go that route If I was to get a Monza anyway. Thanks
