Greets folks! I just bought a Hipshot B-bender and the instructions are for a traditional Tele bridge. The saddles on my deluxe will not, as far as I can tell, work like the old school unit. Does anyone have intructions on "how too" modify the deluxes' saddles to work with the Hipshot?
Thanks!

If not, you'll need to carefully grind and polish a small slot to hold the B string in place, and raise the saddle slightly. OR, you can put different saddles on with an existing "slot" design. Next drill a hole or grind a groove at the back of the bridge to allow the string a free route down to the bender mechanism. The only way, unfortunately, to keep everything in top working order, is to drill two extra holes at the back of the guitar to securely hold the plate flat against the guitar. Otherwise, once you get proficient using it you'll find things going out of whack...but the extra screws holds everything in place. Finally, get your hands on the Byrds/ Fillmore '69...and immerse yourself in Clarence White. Clarence could do it all on a bender.
