i came across this today and i know these aren't "masterbuilt," a grosh, or an anderson BUT they actually look pretty nice! i know the originals had a lot of "bang for the buck," in fact i think countryshawn's main axe is a highway one tele. has anyone seen/played an "updated" highway one? www.fender.com/highwayone/

I'm kinda' interested in a new Highway 1, too. I don't think they are out yet, though. Musicians Friend says there are getting some of the colors in "2 - 4 weeks." Others aren't due to arrive until as late as November.
The new Baja looks interesting, too.

The best thing about the Highway ones is the thin finish. I've read that they even start wearing thru pretty quick. To me, those are good things.

Ohhh, and they come in my size too!! I kinda like the Daphne Blue. If anyone get's one (if I do too) wanna swap necks? I'd like to have a left-handed guitar again with a right handed neck.
