Has anyone had any experience with the Ernie Ball MM Alvin Lee model? I love mine! Great feel and tone. Light as a feather and dead quiet. No hum what so ever. A little strange looking, but you get used to it.

It can't be bad if Alvin Lee uses one, and designed it.

I'd guess you're talking about Albert Lee, the country super-picker. Alvin Lee is the Ten Years After guy. I'm goin' home...

My bad too. I wrote Alvin Lee because he did but we both MEANT Albert Lee! Speaking of Alvin Lee, did you ever hear the live album Undead? Absolutely great swing/jazz/blues. Guitar, B-3, bass and drums, they really all sounded great. Totally unlike anything else they ever did. They did it so well I'm surprised they didn't stick with it, except that it probably didn't pay as well as the more commercial rock sruff.

Never played the Albert Lee but I like Ernie Ball Guitars for the most part. I have always kind of wanted a Luke.

When I was in high school there was a guy so rabid about Alvin Lee that he carried the Undead LP around with him everywhere. His name was Paul Rivera. Yes, that Paul Rivera.

Oldster: Obviously this Paul Rivera dude, whoever he is (kidding), has good taste! I think they did Goin' Home on that album too but it was the low point of the record for me so I never listen to it. I'd sure rather hear them do Woodchopper's Ball (Woody Herman tune) and I May Be Wrong But I Won't Be Wrong Always (Count Basie). Swingin'!!!!

My bad. I am talking about Albert Lee. I own the guitar and can't get it right. Both great players though.
