Thinking of trying a set of the '64 stagger vintage models. Any comments good or bad on their stuff?

I put a set of their "Lil Puncher" pickups in a tele of mine. Bought them manly because of the low price and figured I had nothing to lose. I really like them and they are staying in that guitar.

Bought a Tele bridge pickup from him on eBay that was worse than the stock AM Std one that was already in the guitar. Totally muddy, no definition of tone, really bad! Everything he claimed this pickup was in his eBay listings, it was not. Somehow he talked me into sending it back with another $5 for his "best" Tele neck pickup, a 131 Classic TC Alnico. Sounded exactly the same. He then offered me a refund. I sent him back the pickup and have never received a dime! I've been wanting to reem this guy a new you-know-what on HC, but for some reason they haven't been taking pickup reviews for quite a while. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Thanks guys. I am going to pass on these as I am going to sell the Strat that I had them in mind for. I feel guilty having three of the same guitars, and besides the new one will probably need new pickups anyway!

I would bet $$ that my Tokai has those GFS pickups...and they are dull.
