I just noticed it is not Daphne Blue, but it looks like it. How about you get Scott to make a lefty like that one for me and I will be the official Lefty test pilot for all his lefthanded guitars in exchange for the guitar....good deal no?

How do you find out about Lentz Guitars, prices, options etc.. I googled and the best I could get was a forum.

Same question as Billyguitar. Where, how, who etc. The Lentz website gives nothing away!
If I was over in the US later in the year where do I go to bring one home with me?

Seems like all the boutique guitars are $2,500 and up. Check DeTemple's prices, you'll lose control of your sphincter and soil your panties!

That white Lentz Tele is totally a thing of perfection and beauty. Whenever I think about it I am amazed at Leo's original design. No major redesigns in almost 50 years! All the original needs to be totally usable today is a different fingerboard radius and larger frets. At the Dallas show I saw a guy I've known for about 15 years because of vintage guitar shows, Dwight of P & G guitars from northern Mississippi I think. I've got his card somewhere. He was asking $1,000 for some relic Tele replicas. Some of the best looking aged ash bodies I've seen. I'm fighting the urge to get a Warmoth neck with stainless frets and have him build me a Keith Richards '53 copy, the one with a PAF at the neck.

The Tele has to be some kind of voodoo magic - it just always sounds great, and it has since the first one came out of the shop. What I can't tell is if we think the Tele sounds cool because we grew up with that sound, or we grew up with that sound because the Tele sounds cool!

Nice, nice tele,s I've never played a Lentz but I've played and owned my share of Fenders, Suhr, Anderson, Robin, and Melancons. I'll get to play a Lentz at some point.

Scott starts with a great piece of wood and goes from there. When you play one, even just pick one up, you can just 'feel' the quality those guys build into every one of 'em. Really a cut above if ya ask me.

Yeah those Detemples are nuts, but I believe Michael goes 3 steps beyond any other fender replica I've seen. Although he did raise his prices. I have his tele pickups and I am just dying to get something to drop them in.
If it wasn't for Mr. Detemple, I would have never discovered Zs
MD's guitars-->Xotic Effects-->Dean Parks video-->Z amps
I owe that man a dinner or something :-P

I am curious to what the headstock design on your Lentz guitars look like? Are they Fenderish? And if so, I am wondering if he is trying to keep himself underground enough to not incur the wrath of Fender. If you can't answer or show the headstock, I totally understand!!
Wink, wink, hudge, nudge, he asked him knowingly?!?!?
Cool guitars, I bet they sing like a bird!

Well his S,& T had the F headstock...about a year ago he got the C&D from "big brother" he no longer makes those models, & has designed some GREAT new guitars!
