...I love this pic. Use it as a screen saver... just because. ;D It's an '05 American Deluxe Tele, just had Kinman AVn 60's installed (will pick up today), and not showing is a hipshot B bender I put on, and use a lot. It's (at least for now) replaced my Tom Anderson as number 1.

Beautiful axe. How do you like the Kinman's ? It must sound awesome thru the Stingray. I'll find out tonight. Picked them up from Tele62 last week, after repeatedly hearing how lame the SCN's are, from players (both online and local) who know tone. Maybe I was missing something, thought the SCN's sounded good, they're on all my sound clips. I'll update this thread tonight once I give a listen!

What a beauty! +1 on the report on the Kinmans. That is your homework. Tele through cranked Stingray. I think I am going to give myself that homework.

The Kinman's rule! I was really sweating this because I liked the stock pups...but heeding the advice of everyone, took a chance. And THANKS Curt, for making it happen!!
The AVn 60's are brighter and in general just 'sweeter' sounding than the SCN's. Very punchy & dynamic...quiet as a mouse at idle. Another plus: on the stock, switching from parallel to series was pretty useless, unless you like mud...so I never used the fourth postition...ever. With the Kinmans, the fourth is nice 'n brite, but with an entirely different flavor, extremely useful.
This axe into the comp, Rat, & Stingray...I'm in a VERY good place right now! ;D

Hey Madison: I'm not a photographer either. I don't even have a digital camera but I do have a fraternal twin to your baby. This is from the Fender site except mine looks a lot better in life and there is a Kinman logo on each pickup.

Madison,
That's a good shot you got there. That shot says you ARE a photographer, man. No annoying glares, super color in the background, and a diagonal composition, too. You even add tension with the corners up top showing a little black. You also have a double diagonal going, where the guitar crosses the pattern of the comfort behind it. I sure hope you don't start your songs with, "I'm no guitar player, but..." ;D

The workmanship on this line is right up there!

Post gig report:
After a first set of all acoustic, we jumped into number two all electric, and immediately I was aware of how big an improvement the Kinman's have made. I never completely judge any gear until it's tested onstage and this rig was super sweet!
Called my son up to sit in, and went out for a listen. WOW, very very nice tone! He used the neck pup with the RAT and did a fine job on "Nine Pound Hammer" in E.
The only downside was this was a short gig, we wrapped up at 10:00...just as the 'ray's tubes were gettin' HOT!

WOW, NICE COMFORTER! ;D
Seriously, nice photo. that is a beauty of a guitar. I have Kinman AVN 60's in my '98 American Std. Tele, AVN 48's in my '05 American Series Ash and AVN MkII in a Fender/Warmoth Strat. Kinman pickups sound incredible.
