aaaawwww thaaaatttts beautiful!!! Nice Lester Lefty. Where did you gleam that great looking guitar from, wouldn't mind looking at their site . Love the finish, kind of gives it a slight Gretch persona. I've used my buddy's ToKai Lester many times (1982 Cherry burst) great action and playability. We have a mutual friend who has the real deal (right down to the finish) and he swears the Tokai plays better than his Gibson. Starting to show some age around the head stock and a few areas, sweet. Congratulations

Plays great! It sure is different from a strat...short scale. Absolutely screams with my Mini!! I got it off Ebay, from a place in Canada. Yea I was thinking the finish reminds me of the Setzer Gretch. Good parts too, Alpha pots, shielding paint, etc.

Lefty, I love that paint, slap a Gibson decal on her and you couldn't tell...the zebras really set it off. I knew this guy who had a 57 LP Goldtop. The paint was crazed like they do and he didn't like it so he strips it and paints it Brilliant Orange. Then a week later her strips it again and then puts an oil finish on it and leaves it natural. This happened around 1974.

Hey Lefty, there are some Lollar Zebra Imperial humbuckers on Ebay. Might be worth checking out.

Raja: Death To Smitey is gone! That was funny but I admit it was distracting. I'm going to start a thread on ruined guitars.

Hey Lefty...I love the color!!
How is the fit & finish on it ?
I played one about a year ago and it was not as nice looking as yours and the frets were bad.
Looks like you got a good one.

It's in great shape, much better than a Epi Std. I tried out at a local shop years a ago. The fret work is imaculate, so is the finish and binding.

Dear Abby:
I'm toying with the idea of selling my 1990 PRS since I mostly play my strat now and these guitars from that year are going on ebay for about four grand. I could get one of these Tokais to satisfy my occassional bucker cravings. Do you guys think I'm crazy?
I see at the Twelfth Fret in Toronto they're asking 15 grand for a 1985 and 26 grand for another 1985 (Of course, Ed Roman thinks they're worth about $2,000). If the older PRSs are going to keep escalating in price, I don't want to miss out. It is a really great guitar but I want to put some money into the house too.
I've regretted selling a lot of my old gear that sells for a fortune now. Don't really want to make that mistake again.
