I'm primarily a worship player and have spent several years trying to come up with the best way to play my tube amps directly into a sound system. I've tried it all. Palmer and Sequis speaker simulators.... attenuator direct outs..... isolation cabinets......and mixes of all these. For the last 3 years I have been using an axetrak isolation cabinet. It wasn't perfect, but out of all the things I tried, it was the best compromise. I've used this consistently with my /13 MJL, a Dr. Z EZG I used to own, a THD flex 50 I used to own, and my Mesa TA-30. All with pretty good results, but some sort of compromise.
So....... about 3 months ago I bought a Z wreck. The day I got it, I was so pleased with it, I took it to practice. An amp that I didn't have any experience with. That's how good it sounded. It became obvious to me that it really shined through the axetrak, so I broke out the tone bone cab switcher to A/B it between the z wreck cab and the axetrak through my PA. The results? This is the first time I have found an amp that sounds just as good, if not better through the axetrak then the cab. Something about this amp really works with this small isolation cabinet.
Just wanted to share that with the other z-wreck worship players.

Thanks Keith! I'm looking into the Axetrak. It may be what I need!

They look good... ;D
AxeTrak 112 Demo $849.00
AxeTrak ATV Model $419.00
They seem to be a little on the pricey side...
I'd love to see the Doc make an ISO cab...
Thanks for the post praisegeetarman.
