Hi Zane, I really dig the lentz gutars man. I love his design style. My favourite is the Roundup in the link ending with 277. It looks gorgeous.

I see that most of you guys have the old style bridge on your Teles. What are the advantages to this? Mines just a 2002 Am Std with the new style bridge. Had a Glaser Tele back in '95 w/ the old style bridge and I'm still kickin' myself for selling it...

Hi Johnnyl, the bridges on a lot of our axes are the callaham bridge assembly with his compensated saddles. Zdogma has them on his as well. They are his take on a vintage bridge with some modern twists. The first advantage is that the callaham is made with pure 1018 steel which adds alot of sustain and clarity to your sound. Most other bridges are made with 1010 steel which is soft and tend to cause feedback problems and have poor sustain. Callaham's bridges also eliminate feedback and tend to sweeten the sound. He also removes part of the front lip on the bridge to give your hand the most freedom while picking. His saddles give you that great vintage look but are compensated to give you great intonation as well. The callaham made my tele sound like a grand piano. It is a little tricky to get things intonated but it is worth it. He actually makes a bridge for the American standard teles and it looks solid. You can check them out on his website. www.callahamguitars.com/partstel.htm

Yeah, I can vouch for the Callaham american standard 3 saddle brass, it is a nice quality part.
If you want to hear one, all of rcrecelius's clips in the sounds section are recorded on a tele with a callaham bridge 3 saddle brass, old style bridge. And ronnie can play!
Make sure you don't throw out your original bridge screws, you may need them.

Hey Zane, I hope you don't mind me asking but what did the Roundup from Lnetz cost? That is a sweet looking guitar.

Here are two of my baby's. One is a custome made Jon Kammerer guitar. The other is an '01 American Series Strat. I also use a '61 RI SG. I'll try to get a picture of that on here when I can.

LeftyLang: that's a good looking L-48. I may be wrong but I think the only difference between an L-50 and L-48 of that era is that the L-48 has a pressed spruce top instead of carved. Ive got a worn out prewar L-50 that has the greatest V-neck. Yours would have a normal neck wouldn't it? I dig old guitars but I play my Tom Anderson!

Hey, all. Very nice! There seems to be a slight preponderance of teles here, so I reckon I'll throw in with mine: It's a semi-hollow G&L ASAT.

Here is my '96 Clapton Strat. I've had it 10 years and it's my favorite, well my only guitar right now. All the others have just gathered dust, and been sold off.

Beautiful guitar Benttop...what pickups are you using? Thanks! She came with Fralin Blues in the neck and middle, and a custom wound DiMarzio in the bridge. Don had the DiMarzio wound to match the other two pickups better, and I have to say, it does. I've been playing this one for about ten years now, and she is the very FIRST guitar that I have assigned a gender to when referring to her...
