UPS has not picked up my 8 for its repair visit to the factory. Con Ed has no estimate of when power will be restored. My gig last night fell apart due to the storm here. I am at Starbucks for wifi and AC. But the sun is shining.

I feel your pain, in '98, 10 days without power, due to an ice storm, that was the year i got a generator and we have used it a dozen times with hurricanes, tropical storms etc., but hopefully you will get your power very soon. my brother, sister and mom are up your way and are also without power. Acoustic time.
Hoping your power gets restored soon.

Got stuck on the way back from Glen Falls yesterday in Newburgh. Had to get off the thruway and get a room it was so bad. Then the power went out! Finally made it home an hour ago.

Enjoy your coffee, Mike. Maybe they'll let you take a shower, too! There was enough hot water to get a shower in at home. Bathing in a Starbucks restroom is not an appealing prospect. (Better than bathing in a NYC train station, though, I suppose ;D)

Glad you're safe, Eric. The weather up north of us was much worse. It took my son two hours to get home on what's usually a 40-minute trip. Btw, loved being at Lakeside for John's band. Sorry you weren't there. Another time!

Hope it all comes together for you soon, Mike.

We were right on the Snow/Rain border. My in-laws in Bristol, CT got 15 to 17". We only got 2-3 and most of it melted today.

I recall thinking that a generator would be a good thing - how else would one play electric guitar in times of need? Oh and i guess it would be good for other things like the fridge or a lamp too...

Travel should be OK; not sure if other parts of NY state were hit the way we were down here. Storm was a nor'easter and came in off the Atlantic, I think.
