Congratulations! It's a stunning amp. Sounds fantastic with lots of guitars; with a Tele, even a low end model, it's just something else.

Mine comes next week. Waited 9 long weeks from the order. Btw, today the Z-verb came in, a black one, and man I was totally blown away by the sound of it. I've got my Z cab (open back ones with G&B). And both, ZWreck and Cab are the blonde types. Next week when the Wreck comes in there comes a blonde Z-verb with it. My dealer is so flexable: send the black one back - no problem! I'm the luckiest guy in Holland I think! Hooray for Dr.Z and Erik v/d Haar in Holland! Check www.haarguitars.nl/import/Hooray again! Beddez

The Wreck arrived this morning. Wife just sent a text letting me know the boxes are on site. I've got two outdoor gigs tomorrow and can't think of a better opportunity to fire it up!
Now if I can just make this workday go by quickly!

Wow. Got to spend a couple of hours in the studio with it Friday night and was slightly concerned with the loudness of the Wreck at the 12-2 oclock level. But I was sitting 2 feet from it with no band or venue to soak up the volume. I'm still glad I ordered a Brake Lite though. That will make the Wreck much more usable in smaller settings. Didn't have the attenuator for the weekend but didn't need it. Saturday I used the Wreck at two outdoor festival gigs. Big stage, big sound. It was perfect. This amp really likes the Telecaster.

Spent a while last night with the Wreck and a Ric 330-12. Have been dialing in my gear for the next gig. At Vol settings under 11 oclock it's great with the Ric...very chimey...and the natural sag of the amp 'almost' negates the need for a compressor on the Ric. ( I normally use a Janglebox with the 330-12 ). Tonight I'm breaking out the pedal board to see how it shares the sandbox with the pedals I use at gigs...Janglebox, Toadworks John Bull Mk 2, Boss Tremelo, Fulltone Fatboost, Boss Chorus. Something tells me it's going to play nice.

Update: After a couple of weeks and a couple of gigs with the Wreck;
First of all, having a Brake Lite SA is a big plus for playing & tweaking at home. As for the amp I'm finding these to be my preferred settings: Vol -1 oclock - just this side of break up. (although 2-3 oclock is nice too if you like all phat) Bass -3 oclock Treble and Cut at 1 oclock, I can get all the 3 oclock phat from it by kicking it up with a boost pedal. My Fulltone Fatboost does the trick nicely so I'll keep the FB on the board for solo bumps at gigs to make sure I cut thru the mix. The pedals on my board all work very well with it, especially the compressor pedal. (janglebox set at "normal") I've backed the drive on my OD pedal down to around 10% since it's so easy to get good OD from the Wreck. Gonna pull the current OD pedal out and drop in a recently acquired Timmy and see how that goes.

Glad you are enjoying the Wreck!
Good update and nice detailed review....just wondering what guitar you are using and also what type of music you play.
Cheers, Mike

I play in a Classic Rock cover band that's been together (and gigging) for 30 yrs. We book as an ABB tribute band occasionally too. We just can't seem to get tired of it and still play about 25 gigs a year. I mainly play rhythm guitar but also cover all the Betts parts on ABB tunes we play. My #1 is a Telecaster. I've got a few but lately I've been using a RW 50's with Duncan Five-Two's. The 5/2 pickups are just fantastic and so well balanced...twang without pain. My #2 is a 57 RI Strat with SS1s. I also use a Ric 330-12 for the 12 sting stuff-Byrds/Beatles etc, and a 57RILP with 57 Classics.
For the Ric I get the best tone by dialing the Wreck vol back to around 10 oclock. The rest of the guitars all sound great anywhere between the 12 oclock to 2 oclock setting.
I made one more change this week and pulled my old OD from the pedal board and replaced with a Timmy. With the Wreck, my old pedal was just too much overdrive, even at the lowest gain setting. The Timmy is perfect with the Wreck. It can add just a touch of OD for a nice bite/grit or it can add a lot. I've found it sounds great at about 10% drive gain...not much for the Timmy but just the right amount with the natural break up of the amp. It's such a good tone I could probably leave it on all night, except on the Rickenbacker tunes where I need to get clean and chimey.
