Hey After long time tweaking knobs on my Ezg 50-Dr z 4x10 Cab. I find my settings with stratocaster. tex spes micks. Same settings Live and reharsal with my band. I dont have mic the amp yet, feel i dont need that for ours small gigs. ( I dont practice on the Ezg home. just to loud for me ) Have a small amp for that. So- this settings give me a good blues tone ( O-Clock ) Pre - 3 Post - 8 Treb - 11 Mid - 3 Bass - 8 Dvell - 10 Mix - 8 Airbreak on 3 Click I find my boss blues driver good on this amp for solo ( Drive 9-- tone 12 ) Check it out Strattmaz

I like the following settings
Pre and Post - Noon Treb - 1:30 Mid - 10:30 - 11:00 Bass - 8:00 (where it just comes on) Dwell - 10:30 Mix - 9:30
I think the key to this amp is to dial a general eq setting that you like and then tweak the pre and post. The really shape the way they EQ sounds, at least to my ears. I like to run the pre low enough to get the post turned up before it gets too loud. I think the post control kinda adds some extra presence to the overall tone also.

Lap Steel player here using metal finger picks, so I keep my treble lower than average. I like to push the pre & post right to the edge. On my amp: 2:30 cool tubes, backing off to about 2:00 when they get nice and warm. Use the Air brake to adjust to room.
Pre 2:30 Post 2:30 Treb 9:00 Mid 1:00 Bass 8:00 Dwell 10:00 Mix 10:00

Oh when I do mic Im using a shure 57, about 2" (toward edge) away from the center of my single 12.
Also when using an acoustic reso guitar, I'll supplement with an additional DI (Radial Tonebone) out to the board. They are very prone to feed... so Im trying to keep the stage volume down as much as poss..Parametric, Amp direction, Monitor placement are all factors etc etc. It is a lot of amp to stick behind a dobro!!
