this thing is mint, got it from cotton stewart in chicago, i have had 2 ghias, had really forgotten how efficient and toneful these things were,, have gone full circle with an rx, 6545, kt45, 66, mazerati (why did i let you go baby) and have had two of these, but a mint ghia with flamed maple front,, the original 5y3 still has the print on it,,, wow, for 2 bills less than a new one, i have my summer amp,,, the transformer on this thing is huge,,, another great original design from the doctor,, only drawback,, the tube compliment goes right to left, looking at the back of the amp 12ax then 5751 then el84s then rectifier,, and, say an rx, the preamp tubes go from left to right, preamps then el84s,, and the rectifier towards the front,, on a 97 model anyway,, tube charts would be cool,,, love this little amp,, quiet too.

Yeah, please post a pic. Mine is garden variety maple panel (?) but I was thinking about swapping for a flame maple or Koa or something pimped out. I haven't even checked but I assume the panel part is screwed on and can be removed easily?

I just did a hardwood front panel replacement on my Z-28 head and if I find the right piece of wood, I may do it to my CG head someday as well.

hey curt,,, no i really cant compare it to the ghia,, the ghia seems to have a big marshally roar,,, the goodsell is a very strange amp for me,, it is way different, some have said about it" oh that carmen ghia amp,," it is a very smooth amp, richard tests his tubes very well just for this amp. smooth would be the word, i wouldnt call the ghia smooth at higher volumes,, the goodsell is vox overdrive at about any volume, with the tone control and gain. man i am gonna have a good weekend for geetar pickin,, got a table reserved at the ovation restaurant in ft worth to see bud whittington,, 8pm, going to do it up right. wish i lived down there, but, life in a small town is where its at in my present lifetime... if i had to go to a small island and had to choose between which amp to take, a ghia or goodsell, it would be a ghia...
