Okay, got a few minutes to play with my Monza with the Master Volume MOD I could spend a while trying to describe what I heard so I thought I would just post a crude video. The set up in the video is Brake Lite at 0!! No pedals, my Parker NiteFly, Patriot SX instrument cable and of course, the star of the show, my little red monster check it out

Fun hi-gain tones Todd. I'll bet that MV mod will make the combo much more useful to a lot of folks. When I play at home, I usually start with a clean tone, but end up with an ultra saturated dirty tone after about 5 minutes of playing. Addicted to gain! That MV will let you do that without killing your ears. Cool.

Now THAT makes want a Monza!!! That's a great demo of the capabilities and I love the fact that you can get those sounds at low volumes now, because... unfortunately most of the time I play I can't run the volume as loud as I'd like. Great job!!!

rehersal last night was a blast. I ran the volume up on the Monza to match my drummer and was able to get the gain I wanted without peeling paint off the studio room walls. For this band I run my Z28 and Monza together and use the Monza like a lead channel I also click in the Monza for areas of songs I want to get huge with. It was running the amp at live volumes though and the amp responded well with the MV. I had the MV down real low for a while and it sounded a touch mushy (I'm being really really picky here guys!). I hit the brake like over to 1 and opened up the MV to match the same volume I had and it crispened up. Not sure if was just hearing things though. I'll play more with it next week at those levels. Its been great to leave this amp in the living room though, I can plug in, turn it down, have awesome gain and let the family watch TV in the other room. It does make this into a bedroom amp I can't believe I just said that about the Monza! Todd

It's a bedroom amp, a living room amp, a basement amp - very versatile with the MV mod ;D

Monza and bedroom amp in the same sentence makes me giggle its true though, the MV works that well, the Doc described it "whisper quiet" when he first told me about it. I might even take my little red monster to church with me

Hey Todd - what speaker do you have in that little red monster??? Also - do you find you now have very little use for the brake lite with the mod? My first few work outs were with the brake lite set at zero. Recently I've been running the brake lite on 1 and opening up the master volume a bit althought I am not sure I actually hear any difference (I thought I did when I first did it). My 1x10 has the Red fang in it. I've been very happy with that speaker, I have one if my Z28 as well.

Very cool Todd the Monza with the Master volume seems like the perfect grab and go amp as well as practice amp at home. That fuzz tone is pretty awesome.
