Just ordered the Monza 2x10. I can't wait. I am a former marshall guy, always ran 50 watt plexi non-masters wide open. What can I expect re: volume between the Monza and that?

your 20 watt Monza up against a 50 watt Marshall? My money is on the Monza ^^^^^^ This! Volume will NOT be an issue! You're going to love that amp - be sure to futz a LOT with the settings - so many hidden beautiful tones in there - remember: the volume knob on your guitar is your best friend with this amp. Good luck!

I get it Wednesday. No master- I can't say that I am a fan of master volume, although I understand some of the benefits!

I have a Altair PW5 attenuator that I really love (it is vintage, if an attenuator can be such a thing). Used it with wide-open, no-master Marshalls to good effect.
I hear that attenuating may change the Monza tone. I'll have to see. Does it make it darker? Roll off treble? Interestingly, here is what the Valve Queen (a genius) says re: the Monza tube profile of V1: JJ ECC83S, V2: Sovtek 12AX7LPS, V3/4: JJ EL84 (matched pair), V5: Sovtek 5AR4:
"Tung Sol's or Ruby's would brighten it up a bit (12ax7's). The LPS will typically help tame high end."
I can't wait to mess with it. If attenuating down messes with tone, I may try a tube mod.
However, the clips I have heard of it stock are incredible. I played a Maz Jr recently and the tone on that was awesome, even at room level.
