I just purchased my first Dr Z amp the mighty Monza in a 2-10 configuraturation. Boy is this thing an incredible sounding amp. I am using it without a brakelite and I am using my paisley Drive pedal as a volume control. Should I invest in the brakelite, or wait till the MV mod becomes available from DR Z? This amp sounds sooooooo good without a pedal, but the volume is over the top. Will the brakelite altar the tone of the amp? Thanks

Welcome to the forum! You're gonna love it here! I'd wait for the mod - the brakelite does alter the tone a bit. It's still gonna be loud but with the mod a bit tamer.

The verdict at Z fest was that the mod was more versatile. That was seconded by folks at the shop.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new amp!
The master volume seems a "must" for the Monza. Of the Z amps I've played with an attenuator it is the one the is most reluctant to give up its best tone when it's on the leash.

welcome to the forum and congrats on the Monza!! I have one myself and just love it. If I had to choose between the mod or the break lite I would go with the Mod God bless, Todd
