Well finally got to use the Wreck at a small pvt party gig we played with another band. The amp performed flawlessly, cutting thru the mix perfectly and filled the stage without needing a monitor! I have never had such a great tone out playing before using Traynors, Marshalls and Hughes and Kettner amps - all good amps but certainly not in the same class as the Z Wreck!
As I mentioned, nother band played as well - after we finished the other guitar player came up and complimented my tone and asked a bunch of questions about the amp. That was the ultimate compliment and reinforced what I already know about this amp.
Can't wait to play a bigger venue for 3 full sets!

Hey Jason: Doesn't look like we are - the band I played at the party with is a "hobby band" just playing for fun at private functions. The club playing band I was in disbanded a few months back and we just recently got a new bass player so it'll probably be rehearsals starting next week. You gonna be on the east coast or closer to home? any plans for any gigs when you are home? J5

Just wanted to add another experience with the Wreck. We had a jam last night and I am still in awe of this amp. We play mostly classic rock, and the amp performs flawlessly with that type of tube amp low gain "break up." The other guitar player in our band wanted to do a heavier version of Whiskey in the Jar (think Metallica version) Even though the Thin Lizzy version is more my speed, I agreed and cranked up some gain from my overdrive pedal and cranked the volume of the amp a tad higher and reduced the volume on the Z Brake. holy crud this thing can pound out a mean higher gain sound with ease! I was using a Fender Road Worn Tele with upgraded Vineham pickups (wound similar in spec to a Fralin Blues Special) and could not believe a tele could pump out that type of sound! What a blast I had with it!
I am constantly impressed by how versatile this amp is. It was our second jam with our new bass player and again, on the drive home, he kept talking about my tone. It was a great compliment coming from a real pro - he is a sound engineer plus he was in a band that was signed by a major label here in Canada back in the 90's.
Can I get a " I Love My Wreck" bumpersticker? Cuz I do!
