Just purchased a used Ghia head from a fellow forumite. I am adding this to my aresenal of a Maz Jr (8th one built), Z28 head, Z28 combo with Greenback, Z 1x12 with V30, Z 2x10 cabinet. Guess I got Z-GAS.
Can anyone tell me a bit about how the tonepot works on the Ghia? I know with the Z28 the Treble and Bass controls add additonal breakup/harmonic content past 12 o'clock - is the Ghia's tonepot similar?
Crazy that I am now just buying Z amps without knowing anything about them - they are just such awesome products.

No, the tone isn't like that. It is more like counterclockwise rolls of bass and clockwise rolls of treble. I'm sure it is more complex than that, but that's what it sounds like to me. The good thing is that with just two knobs, it's easy to experiment!

The tone knob on the ghia is the most incredible knob. As you turn it up, the sound gets fatter and fatter. It starts off Voxy works its way up to a Fender and then turns into a Marshall. Absolutely Amazing knob!

Doc describes it as a wah-wah type knob, although not as dramatic.
