Howdy,
The 'Ray and the 'Wreck appear to have a few things in common: output tubes, wattage, British influenced..what differences do you hear between the two?

I had a Ray as my main gigging amp for several years. I just got a ZWreck and have only used it at one band rehearsal so far.
My impressions:
The Ray is a much cleaner amp. It really does not break up until very high volumes. You will definately need a overdrive pedal to get the amp to give up the goods. Dave Baker' Demo on the site does a great job of showing what the amp sounds like.
The Wreck has much more mids and starts to break up pretty early. Picking hard, with the volume at 10:30 you get great cleans with some hair on the notes. Past 12:00 you get full on overdrive. Again, this is all relitive to your pick attack. The amp really reacts to how you hit the strings.
Overall, as much as I liked the Ray, I can't imagine ever getting rid of my Wreck. In a perfect world I'd have both.
