Why, oh why did I visit my local Doc dealer today? I am still in love with my Maz18NR combo.
Off in a dark corner of the store sat a silver Z Wreck. Nobody was even close to it. I can only imagine that an employee had squirreled it away to purchase at a later date.
And I have become singularly fixated on the amp since.
A guy can only have so many amps. So...I think my Maz, and my Bogner Duende will be traded or sold Monday.
I must have this amp...serious GAS pain.

Get the Z Wreck....but DON'T sell the Maz Jr NR! I sold 3 non Z amps to get my Wreck and am glad I did. However, I don't think I could ever loose my Maz Jr....It's still one of the best amps I've ever played through.,,,, That said...the Z Wreck is another one of the best amps I've ever played through!...

Thanks for the words of encouragement! Keep em' coming! I keep watching clips and drooling. Part of what makes this amp so desirable for me is the history and backstory. I am a sucker for that stuff!

I wouldn't trade or sell these amps for the Z wreck, they are great amps. If possible, try and save the money some other way...I know how you are feeling...but I kept my maz 38 and saved for the Z wreck and it was worth it...I love them both equally. Thats my opinion...
cheers!

The Z Wreck is special, no doubt about it. Tough call on what to do.

I sold my brand new Matchless Lightning 212, SIB Blue Echodrive, and Roadworn Strat with Fralins and Suhr Silencer system to help pay for my Z Wreck. I also have a Maz 18jr nr that I was going to sell also, but I didn't. No regrets. There's no other amp like the Maz 18 jr. Of course the ZWreck is remarkable and there's no amp like it either.

Okay. It is always good to come here to share thoughts because I receive measured and intelligent responses from everyone!
In light of your comments, I will explore this.
I have a couple of pieces of high quality recording equipment and a few dollars that I can spare. I will trade in the equipment, use a few hard-earned dollars, keep the Maz 18 Jr and the Duende (which is quite a nice amp in it's own right).
If all goes as planned, I should be carrying home the Z Wreck on Wednesday. I will say this-after more than 24hours, I M adopting a more reasoned approach. If the trade in doesn't go as planned, I will wait.
As several of you have insinuated, I shouldn't sell the farm for this one-there are other ways.
Thanks gentlemen. I'll keep you posted!

Well, I couldn't being myself to do it. Trading too much away. Rather, I will save some money and buy it when I can reasonably do it.
Sad, but more sane.

Good luck with your saving- I played my Wreck all afternoon yesterday....what a pleasure! One awesome amplifier!

you lose way too much money on trades in guitar shops....not worth it...unless you are crazy about something and don't mind taking the loss,,,i think you made a wise choice,,,but don't give up on the z wreck....cheers!
