I've been looking for a head that I can play pretty much any style of music through. I'm playing a maz jr combo and it's a great amp, but I just got a ZBest and would like a z head to go with it. I am aware the zwreck is a head and cab combo, but brad paisley seems to like it! Haha. I do use a small amount of pedals, but I'm just looking for something different feel free to give any advice! Thanks!

Putting aside the fact that to date the Wreck is only sold as head/cab pair, here are my thoughts.
Compared with the MAZ 18, the Wreck (1) does not seem to compress as soon; (2) is even more touch sensitive; (3) has a greater sense of air or definition around each note and (4) has a smoother, less grainy top end -- "silvery" is the word that comes to mind.
Other aspects:
The ZW is very loud; a Brake Lite or Air Brake is essential, especially if you want to push the volume knob up, which is where some great rock tones are to be found.
The amp is extremely revealing. Sloppy technique has nowhere to hide.
These are, of course, my impressions and are offered fwiw.

I was hoping to get a chance to play a wreck at z fest, but I will be playing the cma's on the second day so that dream may get delayed unless I can find some time to drop in somewhere and play one. Appreciate all the help. Thanks guys!
