I won't be using a chorus very much, but my old Boss unit has pretty much had it. We're digging up some old Police tunes.
So what are you guys that have chorus pedals using?

Retro-Sonic CE-1. Same as the Boss of same name, but smaller. If that's the kind of chorus sound than it should get ya done. More moderny types are the Analogman BiChorus/Mini Chorus series, the Fulltone ChoralFlange, and others I can't remember. I've got an old CE-2 and those can be had at not to bad prices on the 'Bay. I'm not sure which Boss to which you refer.

I like the DLS Chorus vibe. It has a blend control which is great for me because I want the chorus to be more subtle than say the CE2 I used to have. The boss pedals are great pedals but sound too "syrupy" for my tastes.

+1 for the Retro-sonic. When I first kicked it on I immediately thought Police (even though Andy Summers used an Electric Mistress..). The vibe side sounds REALLY good too..

Yup, ... right on Johnny, ive got an original 76 or so CE-1, and my retro-sonic is the BOMB! Usually, i'm disappointed by some facet or another of any clone or re-issue, but not this one! I had a A-man Bi-chorus, which is Very nice while quite different, but i was longing for the deep mojo of my Ce-1, just in a more user friendly form, .... and Wha-la, there it is. The closest Vibrato to my 59' Magnatone 260 ive run across too.

The Fulltone ChroalFlange is the nuts... But if you're just looking for chorus here and there, and want to save some $$$, you can buy my Boss CH-1. $60 shipped.
It's pretty much in new cond and only a couple years old.

Those CE-1 Chorus Ensemble jobs were WAAAY expensive even back then! But ya gotta have one for "Don' stan' so close to me" and "Canary in a Coal Mine" I guess...I never did, there was always somebody in the band that 'understood' effects bettern' me. I have a little Roland JC-55 back in the deep dark recesses of storage that gets that sound purty good, JUST IN CASE I get a session or gig that calls for it. I'm waiting by the phone even now, have been for some time! ...zzzzzzzzzz......
