Will do, I'm keeping an eye on the UPS man...why do they drive so slow? I don't think I've been this excited over a pedal in a long time. OD's are cool but always a variation on a theme, a cool delay you can get lost and inspired at the same time. Lefty, you will And the best toy is tap tempo...

I have a DL4 that's been close to the gates of hell and back again. It's beat up pretty badly. Works perfectly.
But it still sounds like a DL4. Tones aren't all that bad. It has 3 programmable presets, a looper mode, and tap tempo features.
With a good amp like a Z, I can't say that I'm really missing out on much sound quality.
I tend to play mostly dry, so this isn't such a big deal for me.

The DL-4 is a good box, I mainly had it set for a delay with modulation and a slap back. Never really used it much in a band situation, would kinda get lost. And the real estate it took up was the final nail in the coffin.

They could at least have changed the "look"! Seems that the choice will be more on "dress" that on tone! ;D
If so I'm on T-Rex, because it "looks" more vintage...

The Replica came today...very cool box indeed. If this doesn't fit the bill for 95% of your delay needs, maybe you should give up. I almost prefer the non filtered (brown switch) sounds. Very nice for digital, very nice. On my board as we speak, or I type. They would sell A LOT more of these but the price is definitely a deterrent. But considering what it can do, you almost forget what you paid for it.

I've tried the T-Rex and it definitely sounds very nice, and is very pricey. I simply need more than one delay setting for the music I play with my band, and at church. After years of using the Line 6 DL4, I switched to a Boss DD-20 Gigadelay and love it. Better sound, more usable features, and even with the Boss FS-5U Footswitch I bought to use fulltime for the tap function, is still cheaper than the Line 6.
If I were to buy a boutique delay, I'd spring for a nice analog one, like the AD900.

Running with 12v T-Rex original adapter gives more transparence, to me at 9v sounds good but at 12 sounds better...

So you like the DD-20 better than the DL4? Maybe I will have to look into it. On my DL4 right now, I have a one setting that has short feedback, but the repeats are almost at unity with my guitar for the U2 kinda stuff. I also have another delay to beef up solos, and one that helps to make noise. How many settings can you have on the DD-20?
